Dream Theater is a progressive metal band formed in 1985. Their two highest selling albums are 1992's Images and Words, which was awarded a gold record. This band is well known for the technical proficiency of each musician, winning many awards.
Like other countries, Thailand has many fans of them and Thai fans want to see their performance very much. As a dream come true, Dream Theater came to Thailand to promote their new album "Octavarium" on Jan. 25th, 2006. Thai fans crowded in Impact Arena looked-like human sea.
Dream Theater started with "The Root of All Evil" and "Panic Attack" the songs from Octavarium album that what we doubted how they do it like a miracle. After that they showed their power of creative with many songs such as "Under a Glass Moon", "Solitary Shell", "About to Crash" and "Losing Time / Grand Finale". That was set 1, equal 75 mins, for this concert and they have an intermission before started set 2.
Dream Theater's set 2 still performed great with the famous songs examples "I Walk beside You", "Sacrificed Sons" and finished their lists with "Octavarium". Fans love it too much and don't want it finished.
People encore for Dream Theater and they don't disappoint people with the two last songs; "The Spirit Carries on" and "Pull Me Under / Metropolis".
These were a perfect performance of Dream Theater Live In Bangkok "Octavarium World Tour 2005-2006" that if you missed it, you would deplore it all your life.
